I just noticed today that I registered for the MacNN Forums on July 27, 1999, so now it's been just about 4 years. And yet I've only posted ~79 times. What's up with that?

So is there anyone out there who registered for these forums before me who has fewer posts than I do? I'm sure there are, but I highly doubt they will read this message, since they probably don't visit those forums much (if at all) anymore. Still, if you're out there, here's your opportunity to increase that postcount!

According to a quick search of the member database, 224 other members joined the same day as you or earlier, and have 79 or less posts.

And that's not including the 1415 members who joined on/before the same day, but never posted at all.

tooki

P.S. In total, there are over 22,000 members who have never posted even once, which is more than the number of members who do post!

Me too. Took me a few months and a few handles before I was actually able to log in and post around here.

These guys who just posted recently had you beat in the post-per-year department:

Tomppu had less than four posts per year when he posted this.

Jayshao, being registered in March 2001 with 3 posts, has less than 1,5 posts per year.

I've been here awhile, and haven't contributed much, except to threads pertaining to bathroom etiquitte and the size of one's turds. All things considered, i think it's better that I stay quiet.

I was thinking about posting a very similar thread to this actually a few weeks ago. I was going to name it "Teronzhul's 1000th post EXTRAVAGANZA: To come in the year 2019" which is what it would take at the rate I am posting at....

PS. Reg date 7-14-99

I had a hell of a time coming up with a 2nd work username when I couldn't remember my regular password (all the good ones I thought of were taken), so now I'm stuck with the silliness you see here

I'd say prune anyone over 3 years without a post, then if no one complains, do another prune of 2 years without a post in 3 or 4 months.

Ah, there but for the grace of the Picture Association Thread go I. That thing was like crack, man. Before I knew it I had a whole lotta posts in that thing. But it was a damn fun thread. Not DBGFHRGL fun, but still pretty entertaining.

Well, I registered in 1999 as well (November I think), and only have 54 posts. It's not that I am a lurker or wallflower I just never have anything more to add! But now my post count should go up.

Yes...er, maybe the other one, not yes...but no. Yes, no, I can't beat that. Too many posts like this one some months ago. That and the goodness that was the picture association thread. At one time, some 13.8% of my total posts were in that thread, or so I was told
