Tracey Thorn's work with Da'Massive - 'Protection' and 'Better Things'
may be just radio friendly fluff, compared to their work on 'blue lines' but
they are also real classics - and worth a listen !

Actually it's "Dissolved Girl," and plays in the "The Matrix" when Keanu's waking up in front of his computer near the beginning of the movie.

ca$h, i dont believe i said anything in this thread to warrant that kind of response. I simply was thanking Cipher for recommending a song. I did not start a thread that said "ca$h, please sh*t on this thread because you do not agree with my point of view"..so do me a favor and chill.

It's not Tracey Thorn (Everything But The Girl) on 'Dissolved Girl', nor any tracks on Mezzanine - it's Sara Jay. Elizabeth Fraser (Cocteau Twins) sings on several tracks on the album - fantastic vocals. Wasn't sure if you appreciated this, reading your post!

(Sorry to sound pedantic - am a huge MA fan, but not since the last effort; AFAIK it was more of a one-man effort as they're no longer the collective they once were.)

How did we go from a "Thanks, cipher" to photos of people giving the finger?

I don't know, but I think the picture should have had a guide to who the people were who are in it.

No, I did not say Tracey Thorn did vocals
on that song - just if he enjoyed that MA track,
try some of their work with Ms.Thorn.

But a big yes vote to the bit about
you being a pedantic asshole ;)

Pedantic on that point but calling me that was really unnecessary, even with a after.

I too have occasionally been caught getting a
post completely screwy. So if I offended your
overly soft underbelly - I apologize ;)

Accepted.

I said that it was unnecessary more because there's way too much name calling in the forums - just look what happened earlier in this thread. I don't consider that I have an 'overly soft underbelly' at all; I don't call people names unless they really, really merit it - and I guess I just hope for the same back.

I don't go calling people names face to face, and, again, hope they'll be the same. Just because this is an online forum it shouldn't be any different. Hopeless optimist maybe, more than anything else...

I only made the point because, like you, I am interested in music - and quite agree that Ms. Thorn is an excellent vocalist - as is Liz Fraser!

It's late, I'm off to bed in a minute... G'nite, and, please, no names...
