Hi guys, This has probably been asked a thousand times, But i am looking for some kind of Ibook cover,
Something that will alow me to open and close the Ibook and still protect it,
I have alot of Computer Bags, But with picking up a new ibook, Dont want to scratch it any more then i have to.

I saw the macskinz, But they look like they will never come out, Any ideas?

Sew one. That's what i did it's not very difficult, and you can get the results you want. Those cases can be quite expensive. I saved lot's of money when i made one myself.

I recommend (and use) Tucano Second Skins. They are well designed, available in three colors and protect your beloved iBook pretty good. Their website is www.tucano.it

Know anything that can be used to cover it while it is open and running?

If you don't want something adhesive like the iSkin you may be out of luck. I don't think there is much on the market that would protect it and stay on while it is in use. Either the heat generated would cause the iBook to overheat due to the blocked vent or the cover would fall off because it is not sufficiently secured.

You are never going to be able to keep the iBook scratch free. You can try to keep it looking as new as it can be by wrapping it in a soft sleeve while you transport it but once it is out it becomes futile to try and stop if from getting some wear and tear. The plastic is just to prone to scuffs.

Another vote for Tucano Second Skin. You can find them on ebay all the time.

I love Timbuk2 www.timbuk2.com they have many choices but what your looking for and what I use to i think would be the Laptop Grip Sleave ( http://www.timbuk2.com/tb2/catalog/c...?categoryId=21 ) or the Quilted Laptop Sleave ( http://www.timbuk2.com/tb2/catalog/c...?categoryId=35 ). Personally I like the Laptop Grip Sleave more because I have it and I've gotten to experiance it's greatness, but it really depends upon how/where your going to using the case/laptop...

I found a great camoflauge cover on eBay. You can go to www.kinghardy.com to see the one I got. The cover I bought fits perfectly, and actually gives me a good surface to rest my 12" iBook on. They are way cheaper than others I looked at, and perfectly functional- and the camo adds a nice touch.

Wow, really nice. Would you consider making another, maybe with a black material, for money?

this works to protect from scratches and fits better than an other sleeve i've tried. got it for five bucks in a microcenter bargain bin.
