i know that its 867 mhz or more for minimum requirements...so what about a dual 800mhz ,,would that meet apples requirements on this new operating system...ron

No, you need a CPU over 867Mhz.

This is something I was sort of afraid of. My wife's iBook has an 800MHz G4 processor, which means that Leopard is out. I'm not sure what the extra 67MHz does, but the minimum is 867MHz...

Im sure someone will work out a way to let you install it, 800 MHz is more than enough to run the OS, its just that some of the bundled apps (Front Row, Time machine etc) don't look too flash on older machines, so Apple but a higher system requirement to stop people complaining.

By the way, if you've bought the machine you've linked to, you have a single 800 MHz G4, not a dual.
I don't suffer from insanity, I enjoy every minute of it.

It is not just the CPU. Macs above the 867 MHz line probably have a better GPU etc. as well.
