Like the title says, does anyone have any comments on Mac GUI's new design? I'm particularly attracted to it myself! Comments, complaints, suggestions, whatever. Post it!

Mac GUI is a site on customizing the Mac OS. I have themes, desktops, icons, and more! My site also has articles and reviews!

I don't like the logo and the green Apple logo. The rest is OK I guess. So I'll give it a 5 out of 10.
But I will give you a 10 out of 10 on shameless plug for a 1st post.

a site about Apple's GUI... should probably look better. Transparent Gifs are the Devil. Any Mac user is going to support PNGs so why not use those if you need transparent graphics? Or just design your site so you don't have to have a transparent graphic?

The graphics do need a little work. You really should consider using transparent PNGs. Every Web browser that runs on OSX -even IE/Mac- supports PNG graphics. IE/Win does not, but given the Mac focus of your site this isn't as much of an issue as it might be for others.

i'll be honest.

your site is amateur. i think if you're a kid under 18, you should be happy that you made/programmed/designed such a site.

if you're interested in this for a living, get as much education as possible and go for it. you can make a great life doing this as your job.

if you're an adult... learn more. take classes. study web design and design basics. read some books and use some common sense as to why your site does not compare with sites like it.

if you're a apple fan who's a little too into it... filter it into something more useful than this. mac sites are a dime a dozen. why would i go to yours rather than MacNN?

I think you have done with the overall layout, though you need to go back to the drawing board with those graphics.

I feel like I am using some quick setup bloging site. Add some personality to it. If you are a mac user then your computer supports PNG's... I think someone has already mentioned this, but go with PNG's. I see some improvement already with the graphics, just keep it up.

Your header is too large, especially since there is always an ad at the top. The rest is fine.
