Upon installing OS9 on my iMac, it automatically switches the audio-input to "internal modem" even though I have modem sound turned off in the Modem control panel. The result is a high pitched whine because of the open circuit to the modem. It's easily fixed by switching audio in to "Built in mic" but it's still annoying.
