1. what does it look like
2. how is it different

Dude...
They don't come with panther. Still Jaguar. (if that's what you mean)

and http://www.apple.com/macosx/panther/ plus http://www.apple.com/quicktime/qtv/mwsf03/ should give you a pretty good idea how pather is like

hmmmmmm
i thought i read that while we were told that the new operating system wouldn't arrive until LATER this year, that the new powerbooks would come loaded with it.

i guess that EVERYONE will have to update later in the year.

sorry for the misinformed question.
i won't let it happen again.

I dunno, I am really happy with Jaguar - I think I will wait a few months and let other sort out the Rev. A. issues.

Browse into the Mac OS X forum.

*Everyone* there seems to have Panther loaded... Someone there will probably get a new PowerBook too.
