Since installing Panther, my monitor does not auto dim most of the time, and my keys don't light up. anyone else have the problem?
An dI notice, that my clock is no longer in the right corner but the battery status is, and then to the left of that the clock is, is that from Panther or a setting?
Thanks!

ypu, it's another Apple plist solution ....
Just toss the illuminated keyboard preferences. There are two files, one for the system and one in the user home folder. Both of them are named "com.apple.BezelServices.plist"
They are located in:
Your Home Folder/Library/Preferences/
and also in:
Your Hard Drive/Library/Preferences
Toss them and restart and everything will be back to normal.

also, you can move any of Apple's menubar items by holding down the Apple key and dragging.

How can a WiFi signal get better by move a ICON to another position?
Even if you move your icon closer to your router the airport antenna is still in the same position as before.

Simply sleeping the machine, or even restarting, is all that's needed.

Thanks for BOTH of your tips! The auto dimming out of wack was very annoying, but your tip seems to have set everything staight. I never realized how much I used that feature...
The menu bar tip is very cool as well.
