I'm looking to get AppleCare before my 1-year runs out in a month.
Question is where can I find it the cheapest? I see Small Dog has it for $229.
Is that the best deal?

Avg ebay price: $120 - $180?
I've bought a few off ebay.... quick, easy, and cheap... just ... you know... as usual... be careful.

AppleCare coverage is universal, right? You could buy it there and it still would cover your Mac here in Europe… am I wrong? Cause the savings getting AppleCare for MacBook Pro there are huge… $250 vs. $450

I was just thinking that. The laptop one should be, not sure about the desktop version.

Yes, the AppleCare for MB/MBP has worldwide coverage. I live in Ireland and bought mine in the US. My MBP was serviced a couple of times here in Ireland without any problems.

Has to be ebay using buy it now and live.com's cash back (currently 25%).
Just make sure the seller has good feedback and you use a credit card so you can contest it if there are any issues.

Apparently this is the website to go to:
https://selfsolve.apple.com/Agreements.do
There's a price war on ebay for Macbook Pro Apple Care's. Down from $205 to 199 to 190 to 188 to 187.75 and hopefully dropping more, these prices being before the 25% off option.
I'll continue to watch this for now.

I got mine on eBay for $135. For a MacBook, that is. Won it in an auction. Lowest regular Buy It Now-prices seem to be around $145. Shipping is usually free, as the seller will send you the serial number you need to register AppleCare with Apple Support.

Dang. I just got mine from what I thought was a stellar deal at provantage. eBay is definitely the place to buy APPs right now.
