I don't know wht the term is for it, but when you drag an open window on the desktop to the bottom of the screen, it creates a tab at the bottom...

Is there any shareware programs that let you do the same thing on the sides of the desktop?

I think that should be incorporated into the version of the OS....

it's called 'pop-up window(s)' but i know of no free or shareware that will put 'em on the sides... maybe there is such a thing

This feature was included in prerelease versions of Mac OS 8 but was taken out because consumers found it confusing.

There's a shareware program called Drop Drawers that does this (and more), but I found it a little buggy on 9.0 on my iBook saw I un-installed it. That was a while back though, so it may be updated by now.
