16 icons, 2 desktops and an iChat soundset. Obscure? Yes, but you can get them now at:
Pixelhuset
ps - yes, I delayed it a bit from my original estimate. I was swamped with client work and I also wanted to make a few new icons after viewing my new DVD of the film...

Does it hold up after all the jumps in technology of the past 20 years?
Your artwork is as always very nice. Well done.

Dave, as always your work is truly remarkable... thank-you!
Now I gotta see this movie. I remember you saying that WarGames borrowed heavily from it, and I loved WarGames, so I'm looking forward to it.

Thanks, everyone! And yes, after viewing the film again, in my humble opinion, I think it holds up great. A great cast of not-so-well-known actors, lots of really good scenes... Kate and I watched it and she thought it was really good as well. The matter-of-fact way the story is told is still very stylish - the scenes in Rome are particularly effective, I think. I also like watching Forbin's cold exterior start to crack under the strain...
And, in a way, they didn't do too bad with the technology. I mean, we all have AV linkups now, right? Those Vidphones look veeeery similar to iMacs... oh, yeah, and I want a big room with world maps on the walls like that, please!
I recommend this one for anyone who likes a good, tense thriller.
Oh, and I did the desktops at 1920x1200 - isn't that big enough?
ps - good on you, Dale! Did you like it then? Do you like it now?

When it first came out, it was probably my favorite movie. Now, I catch it whenever it makes it to the boob tube.

Well, I probably shouldn't say. I try to be discreet about that stuff, especially since there is usually an NDA involved. Nothing particularly glamourous, and probably nothing you'd immediately recognize. I *can* say that it is a big, sprawling, complicated and slightly tedious job, although that is just because there is such much involved. It's not the client's fault!
I guess I could tell you I recently worked on revising the Cocktail icon...

That icon looks awesome. I wish I could see your portfolio. There must be hundreds of icons that I'll never get to see...
