Why would it hurt Apple? Isn't this the same thing everybody wants for Microsoft?

Bwhaa haa ha ha! ROTFL! That's the funniest thing I've heard this year. Split up Apple! It has a monopoly on its own inventions!

<sarcasm>

Down with monopolies! Down with MS! Down with Apple! Anarchy rulez!

</sarcasm>

Several people have posted many times about how Apple could increase share of the market by selling OSX on intel hardware. Many differ in opinion on how to do this.

First, selling the software for any intel hardware (let it run on machines targeted for Windows!).

Second, sell custom Intel-based machines that run OSX (basically a Mac with an intel processor). This sounds more like the Apple I know. Its *still* their APPLE. They can hold onto it without fear of a monopoly.

When Apple owns 90% of the market, *then* lets talk about monopolies and splitting 'em up. If and when Apple reaches that status, I'll start listening...
