hi,
i read on another site that the location of some visitors to your
site may not be correct - that they may for example be identified as
being in a different country.
i have three questions:
1. ignoring that group of visitors described above, and looking at the
rest, are the data usually fairly accurate as regards the town or area
that is identified by analytics, or might a different, nearby, town or
area be identified by analytics?
2. is it possible that a visitor might be identified as in one
location, and then on a subsequent visit be identified as being in a
different (possibly nearby) location, without their computer having
been moved?
3. is it possible to look up exactly where a location identified by
analytics is? For example, in my geo location field, i have a visitor
from a particular location, and that town name ( i can't remember the
name of the town right now, but lets say its 'Newcastle'), there are a
number of Newcastles in both England and Ireland, and the map is not
detailed enough, and the spot on the map is not accurate enough to
determine which Newcastle it is (even zooming in). So can i look up an
analytics-identified location to find out exactly where it is?
thanks.
