Every so often, I wonder if we should get our own botnet together and dDOS spam links. There are enough members here that if even 10% of them ran a client we should be able to do it without all that much trouble. We could even set it up so members could opt out of attacks on a given link if they wanted.

The problem with spammers is that they'll be the ones able to get us all shut down inside 24 hours. Leaving MacNN with a law suit wedge firmly in it's arse.

The longer they stay at the top, the greater the chance some noob will be duped into ordering cheap smokes or handing over their details for a free ipod or mini. Just so certain people can inflate their post counts and let's face it, if you're not actually saying anything, that's all you're doing. Sure, it's funny for a while but after a couple of years of the same people posting the same three things over and over it gets old. And annoying.
