I have the iBook dvd model, and have no problems with the trackpad or keys being flimsy, mine feel pretty sturdy and in place. Might just be a few people. Check out my pictures on the ibook dual usb picture thread.

My trackpad and button are more than fine. Sturdy as anything.

However, I've been a desktop/tower user for 9 years, so I'm fond of the traditional mouse. It's not too much fun to use the trackpad now..but I'll get used to it.

I bought an Apple optical mouse anyway...it's good. People have been complaining about the length of the cord...but if you wrap it around the bottom of the iBook (the valley between the bottom of the screen and the top of the keyboard area) it gives you more thaqn enough space to work with.

Like I said yesterday, NO complaints with Gracie (yup...named her Gracie). I'd recommend this machine to ANYONE.
