Every time I try to export from my time line I get a major system crash. The screen greys out and I get that message in the middle of the screen that is in multiple languages telling me I have to restart my computer. Has this ever happened to anyone? I am using a Quad, 2.5 gigs of RAM and everything up to date softwarewise, except FCP I am using the older version of 5, not the UB. Thanks for any help.

Just for the record, the crash you are experiencing is called a Kernal Panic. Anyway, it sounds like its a hardware problem (as KPs usually are). Have you recently installed any new RAM or anything like that?

A few months ago, but I only notice the problem when I export larger files >15 minutes of video. The RAM I installed is from OWC and I have been having problems with their RAM. I am on round 3. Maybe I should just bite the bullet and buy Apple RAM. Although I have read multiple reports of people having no issues with OWC RAM.
