Why do you have a problem with posters calling the new iBook, the iceBook?

Just curious.

same here...
'iceBook' sounds like somebody struggled long and hard to find a name, and it was the best they could come up with...

iBook D. That's the way I decided to call mine... as in iBook Dual USB.

iceBook really sounds weird... and it doesn't sound very cool. I prefer Marble or P29... at least we Apple users are used to calling our Macs with their code names eg.Pismo but where the heck does iceBook come from?

Hrm... 'P29 iBook' sounds kinda cool... (or just 'P29')
kinda like a weapon of some sort...
or there's always 'iBook-alafragilisticexpealidocious' (which right now is my personal favorite... at least it's better than 'iceBook').
I saw someone mention 'Chiclet' a while back too... that kinda has a nice ring to it...

And I suspect that you have so little to do with your time that you have to complain about us complaining? Jeez... talk about needing a life... those that live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones...

I personally call mine "The new iBook from Apple Computer, sporting a 500MHz G3 processor, dual USB ports, and DVD drive for all your movie watching needs".

I think that's better than "iceBook" or plain ol' "iBook".

Just a thought.
