I have this nuisance guy who responds to a craigs list Ad. I've tried to make a rule to move his responses to a nuisance or trash folder, but for the first and only time, Rules wont work.
His name is in from, that I see: Joe Blow ,< [email protected] t.org>
But when I do the rule, Mail ignores his name and only grabs [email protected]. org
He sometimes put his full name and instagram in the message, but amazingly, when I try to use even that info with "message content', nothing moves. Even that does not work.

ban them.
I don't think rules work with name, just the email address. And you don't want to block all the @reply.craigslist.org just the bad one.

Andi, so you think a rule will be hopeless. But I see the guys first last name right before the < > why can't Mail pick that up.
And why is Mail not picking up contents of messages? He puts his full name there too and instagram.

Yes for that they called it "message content", did not see message body.
