I am using Airport Express and can see the remote speakers in iTunes...

When trying to connect to the remote speakers it just says connecting and then never connects to the speakers...

I've also tryed moving the AE right next to the router to make sure it wasnt a signal issue and still the same problem... AirTunes just wont connect to the remote speakers no matter where they are...

Tried updated firmware 6.2 and then took the suggestion to downgrade to 6.1.1 for AE and AirPort Admin 4.1 and iTunes 4.8 all running on OSX 10.3.9

Tried iTunes 6 on a Windows Computer that is wireless and the same problem exists

I will try using ethernet to stream itunes when i get home, but I just find it bizzare that I get a solid green light, the menu bar to select the speakers, but it wont connect! GRRRR!

I had this problem (with my MacMini, the iBook worked fine), it fixed itself after a few unplugging's and a restart.

I just wanted to chime in with my agreement, keep unplugging it, replugging it, power-cycling your other router, if you use one, and your airport. Eventually this will (I believe) fix itself.
Mine did.
Good luck.

try resetting the aE completely...and create a new network...

Is your OS X firewall turned on? If port 3689 is blocked, that can prevent you from being able to stream music.
