Hi,
I was wondering if Quake3:Team Arena is actually available for the Mac as comercial release and not just a demo. I've heard that all I need to do is copy the files over from the pc version of the game but what files and to what directories? DO I run it as a mod? Does anyone have any solid info on this and when it might be released for Mac or OSX? Thanks!

I haven't heard anything about a full commercial release, but I can tell you that the PC version definitely works -- I play it all the time. All you have to do is create a folder called "missionpack" in your Quake 3 Arena director (not in baseq3). Copy over the pak0.pk3. Then you need the 1.27g updater to run it, and you're good to go.

There are no plans for a commercial Mac release of Quake III: Team Arena. As tdominey mentioned, the data from the PC CD works if you're using Quake III 1.27. Hopefully we'll eventually get a non-debug release so we get some decent framerates.
