So I am looking for a small camera that I can fit in my pocket and bring to parties. I want to be able to dance with it in my pocket. I need something small and compact.

The smallest camera I can find is the Casio Exilim EX-S100. Nice looking camera, but the picture quality isn't all that great. Thats to be expected with a camera the size of a credit card. I also noticed that there was a sony DSC-T33 but it doesn't have a lens cover and its expensive. I am looking for something under 300 dollars.

Here are some other bigger models I was looking at:

Pentax Optio S5i
Canon Powershot SD200
Panasonic DMC-FX7
Fujifilm FinePix F450

Any insight? If I decide I want better pictures, I will probably go with the Pentax.

I would highly recommend the canon sd 10, or another model from the sd series.

The nikon looks nice, but its too expensive. I think I am going to go with the Pentax Optio S5i.

yeah, I saw your post in another thread. I played with that camera at Best Buy, very nice but out of my price range.

Holy crap this thing is small. It is smaller than my MA license. Wow.

oh yeah, B and H photo and Video is great. I bought the camera from them tuesday night at 10 something, They shipped it the next morning and it came in one day even though I selected UPS ground.

The New York times has a roundup of tiny cameras right now. Read it before it disappears into the paid archives.

The Pentax S5i is a great little camera, it's about to be replaced (within 2 weeks) with the S5z, which adds a larger lcd, better image quality (less dark corners), and adds an af-assist lamp.

The Panasonic FX7 is also awesome, but has really really poor battery life. There's a model to rectify that issue, the FX8, but sadly it's not coming to the US!
