I downloaded the entire updater and found that it won't update my version of Mac OS 9 because I don't have "CarbonLib" installed on my hard drive.
I tried to use the Software Updater but it said there were no new updates for my software. What gives? I thought that this version (9.0.4) was a general update for all Mac OS 9.0 users.

Did you "trash" the carbon library? Is it in a disabled extensions folder? It is part of OS 9 and should have been installed with the system. You will need to completely reinstall OS 9 to get the carbon library (or use tome viewer for just installing the carbon library).
