Does anyone know how I might configure sendmail to use our mail server at work?
All I want is to have sendmail send emails using my email account at work?
Thanks...

And for those like me who shiver at the thought of Sendmail's m4 files, just edit /private/etc/mail/sendmail.cf with pico, find the lines containing:
# "Smart" relay host (may be null)
DS
and replace the DS line with:
DSoutgoing.mail.host.com
After restarting sendmail it should now relay all messages through this smart host. Do a tail -f /var/log/mail.log in the terminal to see where they end up.

I run Mac OS X Server and I use Appe's Mail Server, but lots of software still talks directly to sendmail, so I want to relay all mail form sendmail to my Apple Mail Server where it cna be send normally. If I do what you said, will that work for me, since that address it the address of sendmail too? Do you have to do something special so sendmail doesn't try to loop through itself forever?
