Is there a Mac standalone tool that can show you what colour a hexadecimal colour code will produce? I am having to launch a graphics editor in order to do that using HexColorPicker, which adds itself into the colour selector. it would be nice if I had only to launch a little tool by itself.

Art Director's Toolkit, on the Mac App Store. It does that and more. Well worth the price if you do this often.

I used to use a little Firefox Add-on to do this, but do share what you find cause I'd be interested in knowing too Preferably free, cause I don't do this a whole lot, it's just kind of nice to have when you need it.

Digital Color Meter does the reverse of what I want. I want to start with a hexadecimal code and be shown the colour.

The Widget takes inputs (apparently quite liberally) in RGB or HSL, so it looks like what you're looking for, though it will also let you play with sliders to get the color you want.
