No matter how I re-formatt, zero data in disk untility or whatever, I am still getting non performance out of my now 6 month old Lacie 200GB FW400 drive.

I transfer files off of DVD that read fine in my machine and it turns them corrupt. Have all kinds of lock up problems, won't un-mount.

I have the up to date firmware in it as well.

Sometimes the heads cycle and the transfer of data completly stops....

I think I have a bad drive.

Any ideas????

Sounds like it... Try contacting Lacie and see what they have to say.

All of my Lacie FW400 problems were solved with 10.3.3 - I lost alot of video when moving to panther and could not get any reliability from the drives until 10.3.3 - Now things are as they should be.
