I just got a new AE. I can connect to the internet and use Entourage without problems.

The problem is that my msn-messenger won't connect and I just discovered that I can't run the general softwareupdate either? I get this message, networkerror: timeout (-1001)

My computer is running OSX 10.3.9, it's a DSL-connection and I've used WPA2.

I would appreciate advice on solving this, thanks :-)

sounds like a connection problem with your internet. Can you access other sites?

Actually, for some reason, now it works?! I didn't touch any settings or anything, strange..

Now the only problem is that my computer doesn't connect automaticly to my network when starting up. I have set the setting under network, airport to connect to my network as default, but without luck.

Do you now what I should do?

Now you should delete your current AirPort location and make a new one. If you use "Automatic" then create a new location anyway. This seems to help about 99.9% of the time in your situation.

Thanks, but I am using a danish version of OS X so the settings are translated into danish. Where do I find the "location"-setting? I think it might be called something slightly different in my OS X-version.

Location is the uppermost pulldown menu in System Preferences > Network.
