WOOT I just got it! It was supposed to be here by 1030, and i didnt hear a doorbell or anything ring so I came down without looking out front and went on my computer to check the status and it said DELIVERED! So sure enough I look outside and there it is

Not really sure what the point of this thread is.. i'll just give my thoughts as I open it up I guess.

The box is nice and organized.. much like the iPod box. comes with a bunch of cables, power supply, os x install discs and owners manual.

now onto the main part..

nicely wrapped in foam stuff.. looks amazing. not much else to say.

now its time to read the manual to read about the first charge and such

Might sound a little bit neurotic but when I first got my powerbook, I intentionally read the manual to build anticipation of playing with the machine. I kept it sitting in it's foam covering, and looked over at it from time to time. Only lasted for about an hour though. Am i sick??

Congrats! I was jumping up and down when mine arrived. Apple really knows how to package their products.

You should be fine if it shows in About This Mac or System Profiler. Was the RAM installation easy or hard? It was dead easy on my 17".

Go to http://imageshack.us, upload the images, copy the urls, paste them here using IMG tags. It's pretty simple and it works.

Nothing like the smell of a new PowerBook.

I got it from outpost.com (Fry's) and it was $139.99 with a $25 rebate, but when added to cart it was only $129.99 and the rebate was still good.

Cool, I recently just got a new PB. Yes, it is great opening a box with a new Mac. Few years ago, I watch a video on a .Mac web site of a teenager waiting for his first mac. The UPS guy coming to the house, etc. The best part was his face when he opened the box, and seen his Imac. It was great!
