Where do I find the original jpegs and mp3s in my directories so I can mass move them to the external hard drive?
Please, i don't know how much longer my computer is going to work
I'm running 10.2.8 right now on a old ti powerbook.
please help..I'm dying here (well, I think my computer is) and I don't want to lose my photos and songs!!!!

your music is (probably) in ~/Music/iTunes/ and your photos are in ~/Pictures/iPhoto/.
Basically, if you just copy your home folder over to your external hard drive, you should have 90% of anything you consider important. (that would cover documents, music, photos, email, bookmarks, preferences, etc.)
Throw in occasional apps, or documents etc. that you may have saved outside your home folder, and you should be fine.

Hard Drive/Users/*your username*/
Often it is also in your finder sidebar, it is just your lowercase short username.
