I have a VPN at home - when I am away from home and the VPN is active I am clearly on my home network as I can access my router.
But......

The computers do not appear in the finder sidebar like they do when I am at home.

I have set the vpn to route all traffic via the vpn

Any ideas how the get my computers to appear in the sidebar?

I have a feeling its easier said than done. You need to persuade Bonjour to work over the VPN. I recall finding a guide a long time ago and was pretty involved. Its far easier to create shortcuts or use scripts to connect to your desired machines.
I have plenty of more important things to do, if only I could bring myself to do them....
