I'm putting together a video in iMovie '11. I have about 40 different clips, each anywhere from 15 to 45 minutes in length. I've gone through all of the clips, and I know which sections of which clips I want to use. I imported the clips into iMovie, but in the event browser, I can see neither the clip title nor the playhead position, so all of that work seems to be lost.

Do I seriously have to go through the clips one by one and figure out which is which, then play through each clip to find the portions that I picked out? Or is there a way to view each clip's filename? And a way to view the playhead position within the clip? Checking View > Playhead Info tells me only the creation date of the clip, which is worthless to me.

All of the clips are very very similar shots (vehicle-mounted camera) so differentiating between them is nearly impossible, and with something like 20-30 hours of video, the event browser is pretty worthless, as all of the clips appear to run together and it's not immediately clear where one clip ends and the next begins.

And is there a simple way to use only the audio from a clip? This was all so easy in iMovie '06 but I'm trying to get with the times here. Maybe I'll just go back.
