For example, I've noticed that in general, to my eyes young American women tend to look older than their European counterparts (and much older than the Japanese). I personally can't tell any difference in American women between the ages of about 16 and 25, they all look 25 to me. Would you prefer that someone takes home a 25-year-old who looks 15 or a 15-year-old who looks 25? I mean, would that older-looking 15-year-old be suitable for the "looks like a duck" test?

We're not talking about taking people home, here. We're talking about posting child pornography. The issue is this: if it looks like it, don't post it. I don't care what anyone gets excited by because by nature they probably can't help themselves. Fine.
But you don't see people posting scat porn here and claiming "it's only chocolate fudge" and you don't see people posting anal sex and claiming "they're just holding one anothe closely." Why? Because they know better. And that's the point: some of us need to know better. I think this is a fine time and place to discuss the subject -- when I'm offended by sexualized children being posted in the MacNN forum.

Probably more time than I've ever spent on Morning Musume by doing some web "research" just now but based on some websites I just visited it looks like the youngest member was born in 1992 while the oldest member was born in 1973.
I don't agree with the logic that when someone looks younger than their actual age a picture of that person is deemed inadmissible in a hot babe thread and can be seen as child pornography. Some of the members of that band are actually married. Are their husbands perverts because their wives look young?
Are we not supposed to look at women whose appearance doesn't reveal their age? I don't agree with that at all and will continue to look. Not that even the oldest members of Morning Musume particularly tickle me personally but that is another issue.
Having said that. The number of group members in the picture of the group on the bus makes it obvious that it was taken at a time when the youngest members were part of the group. Which means that some of the girls in that photograph are no older than 13 years old at the time the photo was taken. That would make the photo as a whole inappropriate for this topic. IMO. Unless we are to take the word babe to literally mean baby...
(p.s. I don't think Waka Inoue's lips or breasts are fake but have not had the opportunity to conclusively verify.)

Actually search for either term and you'll find the same thing. They might mean slightly different things, I dunno, I'm not Japanese. Shibuya is the district of Tokyo where you're most likely to spot one of them. It's like saying Brooklyn or New York girls instead of club kids.

Upon further research I find this set of photos MAY be some of THE BEST photos EVER taken of her. On her website and in the wikipedia listing she looks nowhere as good as she does in these elle photos. I'm ALSO surprised to discover she is in Desperate Housewives. I've only watched the show once or maybe once and a half and I don't remember her looking as good as these photos you've listed portray her as looking!
