I used unixODBC for a few months about a year ago. I think I started a thread in the Web Developer forum about it, actually.

What's the questions? I'll see if I can remember anything.
Just who are Britain? What do they? Who is them? And why?

Well,

I'm wondering what the equivalent of Apple's ODBC Administrator there is for unixODBC setups, for starters. How did you setup a DSN for unixODBC?

Well, here's the thread I started on unixODBC a while back. The last post has a bit of info.

To setup a DSN, use ODBCConfig - it's very much like Microsoft's ODBC admin thingy. It's a GUI app you'll probably need to run under X11 (haven't checked if anyone's done a native OS X version for it) so there may be a bunch of dependencies you'll need to install etc, but it's nice and simple to use. There's a bunch of info at the site: http://www.unixodbc.com/
