As the title says, post your last purchase. It can be even a very small thing like a pack of cigarettes.

Killed the spam link, but this is as good idea as any. Excluding mundane things, I most recently bought a pair of ATH-AC7 noise cancelling headphones. That's the closest thing to magic I've been in a long time.
The new Mac Pro has up to 30 MB of cache inside the processor itself. That's more than the HD in my first Mac. Somehow I'm still running out of space.

You finally found one! What do you think?

I tried that beer a while back too, its not bad.

My most recent purchase was also fuel. Diesel to be precise, £40.01.
I have plenty of more important things to do, if only I could bring myself to do them....

Hah. I've been drinking Lagavulin 16 for a while now. I think it was some special edition version that you had mentioned that isn't available in Canada (or at least where I live).

Yeah, I generally like Innis & Gunn beers for a nice change of pace now and again. The rum cask version has a nice flavour.

Thats right, it was the Distiller's Edition. Funnily enough, the latest one of those showed up on my Facebook feed an hour or so ago. Double matured in Pedro Ximinez Cask wood, distilled in '96.

Just to see what all the fuss is about, I recently purchased a low-powered tube amp: http://www.musicalparadise.ca/store/...&product_id=54. Looking forward to comparing it to my high powered solid state mono block amps.

the cover for my new ironing board sucks. i used a "silicone" cover for my old board. think it had metal fibers in it too to better reflect heat. that cover was great, but doesnt fit my new, larger board. i hope this ones works ok.

also, rowenta irons are awesome. but stainless steel sole plates are annoying when stuff melts onto it (ie. new board's cover) ... let's hope these items help make ironing less sucky.

Gotta go 300B if you're going low-powered!

Out of mild curiosity, are you using them with the same speakers as your monos?

Yes, I am using them with the same speakers as my monos. It is actually working better than I expected. After being used to 200WPC, I'm surprised how good this little amp is doing with only 6.5WPC. My plan is to experiment with this amp, then graduate to something from the company DECWARE that Shaddim mentioned in another thread. http://www.decware.com/newsite/homepage.html

Maybe this will answer your question. Prized for that red stuff...egg I think. Very expensive. Cost me about $4 per crab (only bought 1).

like a boss.

new job... gotta dress up. slacks + dress shirts etc. i've grudgingly learned to iron. it's not like ironing for that odd interview. ironing 4 pants, and 7 shirts in one batch taught me really quickly that my old iron sucked. next up.. learning how to polish/shine shoes!

That guy makes ironing into an art form. So glad I don't have to iron any more, although it was kind of satisfying in that repetitive task way.

Generic DisplayPort converters on DealExtreme.

Also bought far, far, FAR too much stuff during the Woot-Off and today, including:
  • Stainless steel martini glasses
  • A new Lenovo 23" touchscreen AIO to replace my iMac G5 in the dining room
  • Sony Tablet P
  • Watches
  • Tray for making ice shot glasses
  • I'm sure something else that we didn't need
Sell or send me your vintage Mac things if you don't want them.

Last purchase was a round of drinks.

Next purchase is this, currently in the pub next door to the game shop waiting for the midnight launch.

It'll be much easier if you just comply.

Woohoo! Another 458 owner on the `NN. How are you liking it? (stupid question)

New or pre-owned? Coupe or spyder? I've had mine for several weeks now and it's been a real joy to drive, to put it mildly.

pre-owned. it clocked 1,400km when i took over.

steering is a bit light. also certain interior parts rattle at certain high engine rpm.

it's very expensive, feeling a bit guilty actually.

but i do drive it like i stole it pretty much all the time. had a big drift on wet the other day and my heart stopped for a second. quick rack was awesome for counter-steering.

Have you had your mechanic give it a thorough check yet? Can't say I have serious rattling from the interior, CF or leather?

My problem is, even compared to similar cars, I'm going much faster than it feels. I get cop flashes and calls on my phone, "Jesus man, slow down!"

As much as these look like weight lifting gloves, they're actually for skating/derby. Just a little more protection than the average wristguard.
