The 60gb drive has been announced as going into production in July or August, WWDC is the end of this month, so they might announce the 60gb for release in a few weeks after, but 60gb won't be released at WWDC (at this point I add the word 'probably', as I don't like the taste of hats and I don't want to eat one any time soon!).
Off the top of my head thoughts:
20/40/60gb models, iPod Mini type wheel, maybe an iPod mini type body, maybe bluetooth, maybe a colour screen, remote chance of video on a colour screen.
|
It'll be much easier if you just comply.

I really hope the next iPod has an iPod mini-type of case. With the current ones, you can't hold it or put it on a table without getting the back metal part completely screwed up with fingerprints and scratches.
Oh, and AirPort Express control would be awesome.

What use would Bluetooth have on the iPod? It's excruciatingly slow.

I think they will announce the iPodMini prices in the UK and Europe as it is still not available to order on the Apple web site.
I also think they put off the launch for another reason - to wait and see if the exchange rate got better for them. At the time it was to be launched the exchange rate was nearly 1 - $2, making a new iPodMini in the UK 125+Tax, but Apple said it would be 199 inc Tax, quite a difference. Now things are better rate wise it does not look as over priced compared to the US price.

Ask the question again the day before Apple release the new iPod... then I can be certain I can vote yes!

I guess Bluetooth headsets with a Bluetooth remote. However, that would ruin all those commercials with the white headset cords.

Bluetooth does not have sufficient bandwidth to support stereo audio.

I'm thinking anything new will hold for WWDC.
1) Why take away from the AirPort Express/new G5 thunder
2) Jobs wants something to say "check me out" over.

Oh well. Would've been cool. At least it works well enough for cell phone headsets.

um.. bluetooth is the same speed as USB 1, and there are plenty of USB to audio peripherals out there, and wireless b is SLOWER than usb and bluetooth, and is compatible with airtunes.

Yep, It performs way below spec if you ask me. I think that 12Mbit speeds (USB 1.1 is 12Mbit, right ?) are quite impossible to achieve. Maybe in a lab yes, but not in a real world environment. Just my experience with it..

The refurb prices at the apple store have gone down another 20 bucks US. I'd say it's WWDC for the release.

Bluetooth IS NOT the same speed as USB 1.1
Bluetooth (Class A) = up to 721 Kbps (actual speeds are around 192 Kbps or 24 KB)
USB 1.1 = 12 Mbps (USB isn't made for sustained transfers, the top speeds is for bursts -- the max)
802.11b = 11 Mbps
You can get audio through bluetooth but it won't be as robust and good as the other two standards. The drop off in bluetooth range and effectiveness is also big.
