I'm running the Doom 3 Demo on my MacBook Pro, and there is no sound whatsoever, the graphics are amazing, and it runs pretty well but there is absolutely no sound. Any help would be appreciated.

The demo isn't universal binary, is it?

I have the retail version, running with the UB patch on my 2.16 17" Macbook Pro, and the sound won't work here either. Pretty annoying.

Does the UB patch work for the demo?

The sound in Doom 1.3A (the UB version) DOES work, but you have to plug in external speakers or headphones to hear it. You CAN enable OpeanAL at startup which will force the sound through the internal speakers but this will cause the game to crash after a few minutes. Aspyr have not responded to my questions about why the internal speakers wont work with OpenAL turned off, like it used to before the patch.
