Theoretically it is. You'll need a new power supply tho because the B&W had the old power supply (so did the Yikes btw) however the Sawtooths had new power supplies.
Once you get a new one, it's pretty simple to do it.

What kind of user benefits most from agp? I am pretty content with my b&w I would just like it a little faster. I think that the 800mhz g3 zif would give me all the boost I need.

An AGP mainboard enables you to use AGP video cards - any AGP video card. Which means that you'll have accelerated graphics (Quartz Extreme) resulting in better overall OS X performance.
Also todays games will be a lot faster with an AGP video card (as long as it's not the ATI Rage128 Pro).
And yes, that is the only way to get AGP in your B&W G3

If you have a small amount of video RAM it certainly makes a difference. For boards with 64 MB+, not so much. Also, you need AGP to run Quartz Extreme.

It does make a big difference when running OS X 10.2 or playing games.
