I got my Intel Mini yesterday and thought I'd try an older ADS Pyro FW case I had for an external drive, at least for the moment. Since I have a BT kbd and mouse, I don't really need any of the extra ports that the Ministack/etc provide.

So I got the drive hooked up, and mounted, and all seemed fine. I decided I was done for the night and went to shut everything down...

first I tried to "eject" the FW drive.. no dice.. System said the drive was busy and to quit whatever app was using it.. except of course, I had no open apps.

So I thought, ok, fine, instead of shutting down, I will just sleep. So I told the Mini to sleep, and it kept waking up. Also I have no idea if the external FW drive would know to sleep (I've seen mention that some of the made-for-Mini enclosure support this... which of course implies that others might not

I have checked the ADS website and find no new drivers (since 2001) for the enclosure.

Looking for any ideas.

Thanks,
Mike

My no-name USB2 enclosure does the same thing (with the drive in question.. 200G Maxtor)....

do I need to put the HD to sleep as well (I had a freeze one time when trying that)?
