After text is scanned following error occurs : unable to create zones for this page because of error 980. Try increasing Omnipages memory partition...

With 24 MB allocated [ 3 times recommended ] this seems not to be the problem. Anybody got any ideas on this ? Caere is useless..

Have you tried throwing away preference file(s) for OmniPage?

Finally have it working. Trashing prefs file did no good. Did a complete reinstall of 8.0 plus patch required [ 8.0 alone would only scan quarter page ]. This worked. Upgrade to 8.01 was the culprit...

Thanks for the suggestion though.
