I pity him.
In short he went down to San Antonio and a guy pulled a knife on him. He kicked his ass and when the police showed up he was taken to jail.
Since he is "out of county" it was 50% of 5K instead of the normal 10% so he could not make bail. He folks could not help either. So he was in county for the past month.
So he got out friday (was in for a month) and has since lost his job, lost all of his stuff (could not pay rent from jail) and is staying at a friends house. It would cost more then his cars worth to get it out of impound.
I've said it before and I'll say it again, he needs to get the **** out of texas.
edit: spelling, grammer and adding tidbits.

actually I like Star Trek more but you got The "Homosexual canadian" part right. Well half right except "Canadian" has a capitol. Not that an American that can't even find it on a map would know though.

That really frazzles me. I mean, what kind of corrupt system is that?? Poor guy! What do you mean by out of country, though? Wasn't he in Texas? Anyways, that really sucks.

no, it increases the percentage you have to pay and the amount the bail bondsman will cover. there's more worry the guy getting the bail bond will jump ship if he's not from around there.

Locking people up in cages is inhumane. In the future, jails will be looked back upon like we look at the old lunatic asylums. I know that sounds naive, but so did a lot of things we now take for granted; votes for women; abolition of slavery; etc were considered stupid and naive once, too.
But as for chris_h, he should have been 'deterred' by the LAW, shouldn't he?
Or have I been listening to too much Ben Harper?

chris_h is cursed. there's nothing bad that hasn't happened to him. At first way back when I thought he was a pity-seeking troll, but now I realize no one could make up all the bad things that have happened to him in jobs, apartments, etc. I remember the check-bouncing incident... yikes.
Somebody send that boy a four-leaf clover, and a train ticket outta texas. (It would have been a plane ticket, but, you know, his luck, and planes, and the two together... no good would come of it. He'd be arrested for hijacking it or something, when all he was trying to do was tie his shoes.)
P.S. Phil, watch it!

juan, next time he rings, pass this on to that texan assmaster:
"if you haven't moved out of texas by july (which is plenty of time to organise something), you'd better check back into that jail, for saftey. because we're all gonna come and kick the living daylights out of you, for ignoring us! "
okay? good.

I'm sure he will, when he get's his iMac back from his retarded landlord. part of TX law states that if you don't pay rent, the landlord can siese your belongings, and if he doesn't pay the reletting fee by Feb, it'll all be sold. :/ But, he's employed, says that'll be no prob, so, give him some time, and i'm sure we'll hear from him.

Forget the alamo? BLASPHEMER!
Anyway, to sum things up:
I was walking down the street in sanantonio with a friend of mine. A guy pulls a knife on us so she screams ands runs. He begins to run after her so I basically just pounce on him. Kick him a couple times in the head for good measure.
The police get called.. they catch the guy but don't find the knife. He says we jumped him. The police arrest us both.
I can't make bail (50% of 5k) so I sit in the county lockup for nearly a month until I have enough timed-served credit to leave.
It was the worst thing I've ever been through. I still don't really want to talk or type about it.
They completely broke me.
Anyway, I got my old job back and I'm working 60 hour weeks. I'm still homeless... been sleeping on couches, and at a hostile. Last night I slept in my car, which i'll probably do for a while.
It's not so bad... at least I have my freedom.
