I've actually been curious as to why we haven't seen more things like this, considering how flash drives can be integrated in so many designs.

The thread title definitely made it look like spam. I hope angelmb hasn't been zombified.

OH....nope not what I was looking for....
but I agree...there are so many things you can put flash drives in why aren't there any more crazy products like this?
If it were something cooler I'd even consider buying it...like I don't know a pen with flash memory instead of an eraser on top

haha no way… I just got it inside my inbox today and though it was cool and wanted to share the coolness on it… nevertheless on a second read I understand if I was a fresh recruit it could easily be perceived as spam… sorry about being not that original with the thread title… as for the linked website, well it makes sense to provide it thought, a single image doesn't say too much… no price, no GBs…

You can get a 2 Gb drive for $18 at CompUSA right now, or a 4 Gb for $29. A 16 Gb drive is huge!

I don't understand why people go for these "tiny" or multi-purpose USB memory sticks when you can just use one of these.
I keep mine in the coins part of my wallet. Plugs into any USB port I have ever tried plus the great benefit of being able to be used as an SD card in a camera or storage for a PDA if needed.

It won't plug into my MacBook when another USB device is plugged in and it would not plug into my eMac no matter what.

Or the ports on the new 'flat' Apple keyboards.
The other thing it wouldn't plug in to (which would be the final killer for me) is the quad USB port on the back of my LG monitor at work*.
* This is the most retarded USB socket design in the history of USB. a Quad set in two rows, the case finishes about 5mm from the set, so its set back showing the metal backplate, then for some reason the USB sockets themselves stand proud of this backplate. All this is round the back of a 19" CRT monitor, so you cant directly see the sockets. I spend a few minutes cursing the designer/engineer who came up with this every time I need to plug in a USB stick.

Personally, I think that the necklace is hideously showy and lacking in taste. Swarkovski generally evokes that reaction in me, though. My iMac would probably explode in protest if I ever tried to put something that tacky into one of its USB ports. Also, the ergonomics of the device leave something to be desired; as several people have already pointed out, it would be a nightmare to get into a USB port.
I personally agree with jebjeb's views on flash drives, though I don't like the combo SD/flash drives that much--the take up too much horizontal space for my liking. I use a 1GB PQI Intelligent Stick, which is absolutely tiny, and doesn't hog space around the port. Storing it in my wallet is also a bonus, in my book. I work in offices, wearing a shirt and tie, so I don't think they'd be too thrilled if I turned up wearing that neclace.
I did see a Sony MicroVault Tiny the other day, and I was impressed with it: it manages to be even smaller than the Intelligent Stick.

Just to be totally pedantic, RE4 doesn't actually feature zombies at all. And you should play it--it's really, really good.

Great. Today I found myself looking at some girl's locket, with a "lock" design similar to the ones in the site, while I was handing her a paper, and wondering whether it might be a USB flash drive. She probably noticed me looking in the general direction, but I doubt she had any idea I was looking at her locket...

If I shot you, the last words out of your mounth would probably be along the lines of "jeezus shooting me is so original, where did you get your idea? From the last Murder-she-Wrote rerun.. :coughs blood: I don't believe this!! Now I'm seeing a white tunnel. How cliché is *that* :coughs more blood: Next thing I know my vision will start fading or some stupid crap like that!.. :aaand dies:"
