I want to share my music with my family. I'm older and most of my music library comes from CDs that I painstakingly ripped into iTunes years ago. Some of it comes from Amazon and other non-iTunes stores (non-DRM MP3). I signed up for iCloud Music Library and set up Family Sharing thinking that we could now all easily share all of my MP3's. Apparently, I was dead wrong. You can only share stuff you purchased through the iTunes Store? That's a tiny percentage of my library! Apple went to the trouble of uploading all my music to the cloud, but the family sharing feature can't access it?? I'm not happy about that AT ALL.
So... what are my alternatives? I've looked into CloudBeats + MediaFire. It works, but it's not great. I tried Amazon Music and Google Play, too, but didn't like those, either.
I don't want to have to share my iTunes account. My family wants their own playlists and custom radio stations.
What other methods are there for doing this? I don't want to go back to syncing all the family's phones to my iMac. I was hoping to free up space by letting everyone share this stuff from the cloud.
