Got my Shuffle today and my sister immediately remarked on how the lanyard will get dirty quickly as it is white.

She suggested that I spray shoe protector on it which I thought was a great idea and did immediately. Of course if it still ends up getting dirty you could just bleach it.

Just thought I would pass that along.

Got it this morning and ran straight to work with it, so I haven't tried it yet

BUT it does charge on the back of the Apple LCD's when awake which is nice as I thought it would be underpowered.

actually, even not being a big hip hop fan myself, I could see the ball chain thing being good for the gym or elsewhere where the while nylon is likely to get dirty.

Any string would suck for the gym as it swings back and forth. That is why God invented the armband.
