The enclosure doesn't care what brand the drive you put in it is. It just provides the interface. Just about every off the shelf DVD/CD-RW drive uses the IDE interface, and most available enclosures support that. Your choices are very broad-just make sure you get one that supports IDE drives.
USB 2.0 is fast enough for a CD-RW to write at quite high speeds, and more than fast enough to read from any optical media. It may not be exactly as fast as an internal drive, but it will be fast enough, in my experience.
