Just installed Leopard on my dual 2ghz G5 and in my main user account the Web Clip feature doesn't work. I draw the box, click Add, and then the Dashboard appears. But no new widget is added. If I add the Web Clip widget manually it still doesn't work. I've logged in as another user and it works perfectly. Any idea what could be causing this problem on my main account? I've tried creating a new Safari folder in my User/Library but that made no difference. Not sure what else to try. Any help appreciated!

If I click the cross to bring up the close boxes on all the Widgets, I get a cross and nothing else for any web clip widgets I've tried to make. Dashboard is working fine apart from this though. This is all very odd.

Just installed Leopard on my iBook, same thing happens! This is crazy. Both times I've done an archive and install too.

Try deleting the preferences of the Dock, log out and see whether that helps.

Thanks but that didn't work

Tried a guest account (neat idea!) on my iBook and again Web Clip works flawlessly there. I'll look to see if there's a Dashboard prefs file I can ditch.

Fixed it! Turned out the style sheet I was using in Safari to block ads was causing it, when I turned that off, Web Clip started working again.
