This Linux app adds SIP voice call functionality to the Linux GAIM multi-protocol IM client. Does anyone think this could feasibly make it to OS X?

My understanding is that Adium, for example, already uses the open-source GAIM library (libGAIM) that this hooks into, so could VoIP calls make it onto the Adium feature roadmap?

That would be too cool.

iChat's audio chat is all well and good but it's not a standard. Adding VoIP to libGAIM's protocols could mean voice chats with many standards based clients out there, such as XTen's offerings, all from within my favourite IM client.

Sidenote: I would have posted this in the Adium forums at FunMac, but they don't seem to be forthcoming with my account activation.
