Trying to cash in on some gear here so I'm going to try again to sell my Power Mac. A combination of reasons...most of all I could use the cash and my Powerbook does everything I need, not to mention my producer is getting me a new Power Mac anyway, so I'll just use that.

Specs:

Power Mac G5
Dual 2.5 Ghz
2GB RAM (4x512MB)
400GB Seagate Barracuda SATA (open slot for another drive)
ATI X850 XT (THERE IS NO OTHER WAY TO GET THIS UNLESS YOU ORDER A NEW POWER MAC)
16X Dual Layer Superdrive (identical to current superdrives)
Airport Extreme
Bluetooth
10.4 Tiger
iLife 05

I will also include the Production Suite (Final Cut Pro HD, DVD Studio Pro 3, Motion) in it's full box, software, and manuals. The machine is covered until December 7th, 2005. You can still buy the additional AppleCare if you wish.

I will also include a copy of Star Wars: Battlefront which plays beautifull with teh X850 card. So if anyone is looking for a loaded machine at a good price...this is your chance.

And what is the price???

Considering that this Power Mac with 200 more Mhz per processor would cost you well over $4000 with taxes. I'm looking for around $2800 plus shipping for the whole package. Email me at moviecutter (at) mac (dot) com if you're interested. Will post pics if requested. Thanks!

And no offers of like....$1700. Let's be serious. I realize it's tough to move a $4000 package around here, but cmon.

Where in the world are you located? Currency US$ I assume? Can you confirm that you are offering the Final Cut Production Suite software with original CD's, serials and a legal transfer of license to the new owner?

Located in the Chicago area...and I guess the only way I can confirm the Production Suite is to take pics of the CD;s. I no longer need it as I received a full version of the Final Cut Studio...so there is no reason for me to keep the production suite. Rock bottom price is the posted price. This machine is worth more than $4k with everything. If nobody here wants it...it'll go to eBay or Craigslist.

I wouldnt mind some pics. I don't know if I asked you and you already emailed me them... might as well post them here.

Is there a limitation to how late you can buy AppleCare? If so, how long it will cover the machine for?

I am fairly interested in this machine, but I am holding off until the speculated PowerMac updates are announced later this month.

I'll post pics, but I can't wait that long, so it's on eBay right now. (That's my biggest problem trying to sell machines on these boards...people read rumor sites. But what can I expect??? )

The updates most likely are going to be announced at the Apple Expo, if even announced at all, maybe Apple will do it quietly....
