Like a phoenix, rising from the ashes of its deceased former self, so did MacThemes emerge, re-branded as MacThemes 2. The site's been going along excellently in recent months, with tens of thousands more hits a month, and it's all thanks to you, readers. We've given you a renewed commitment to deliver news, reviews, previews, and interviews highlighting everything going on in the Mac theming universe, with the promise of even greater things in store.
So without further ado, we're ecstatic to announce the
MacThemes Theme For a Week Contest. With over 13,000 elements to theme in OSX the grueling task of creating and producing a theme takes the right kind of artist. That's why we decided to shake things up a bit. Instead of a long, drawn out development period, with little interaction from users and meager rewards at the end, the
Theme For a Week Contest, as its name implies, lasts a week, with a (mock-up) development process as clear as glass and rewards fit for a king (of Macs).
First up is the timeframe. Entrants will have one week, starting today, July 25th, at 12 pm EST and ending following wednesday, August 1st at 12 am EST. In this time, they (hopefully you as well) must create and email a mock-up based on a template provided on the rules page. However, this is not a mock-up contest, and as such, all mock-ups must be able to be properly produced in Themepark, and contest prizes will not be awarded until the theme is completed. Read the full rules and pick up your template on the
Rules Page of our
Contest Mini-Site, designed by
Philipp Antoni, if you're interested.
