Some people say that HP makes the best Laser Printer. Others say that Xerox does. And still others Prefer Canon or some other brand. What do you think is the best Laser Printer for the Mac Under $2,000.00?

I'd say HP makes the best laser printers, period, and you can get a great one for under $150.

I have only worked with HP laser printers and they are great. People always tell me the lexmark ones are awesome though.
To me drivers are just as important as the hardware. HP makes HORRIBLE inkjet drivers, lexmark makes HORRIBLE inkjet hardware and good software.

Kyocera (not in the poll!)
(FYI, currently I also use HPs and Lexmarks.)

The Brother HL5140 is a great printer, great output, and good reviews.
I have the color Konica-Minolta 2430DL which is a good inexpensive color laser for $400 and comes with a network connection.

I use a Lexmark c510N colour laser printer. It's a fantastic printer considering the price and the print quality is quite acceptable - not injket quality of course, but good enough to allow me to print catalogs and brochures with. And I find the drivers for OS X totally rock.

I use a HP LaserJet 1010. It was dirt cheap, $100 or so. Of course it's low-end and there's nothing fancy: no PostScript, no Ethernet, only 8MB RAM, etc. But, it's quiet, prints very nice, is very fast and it works out of the box with Jaguar, Panther and (supposedly) Tiger. It works as a network printer if you hook it up to an APX base station. Its toners are not much more expensive than my ink cartridges used to be, but they last for 3000 pages (which is 150% of what HP specs them for) and they don't dry out, leak, spill, smear, etc.
I love my HP 1010. They're so cheap, you should just buy one to see for yourself.

Brother HL-1450 here although its been replaced by a newer model that is much smaller. Its fast, dones't make lots on noise when I print at 4am and with printer sharing turned on I can print wirelessly from my ibook.
