I am fed up with mail.app

Giving GNUMail a shot.

Am am quite happy so far, but I am having problem with it playing a sound when new mail is recived. I am trying to play sosumi.aiff, but it wont play it. Is it looking for an aiff or another format?

Thanks.

Nevermind, works now for some reason.

Anyone else use GNUMail?? Its almost identical to Mail.app but faster and with more features. lacks junkmail detection but im trying to set up spamassassin with its process with external app feature. Looks like a decent product so far.

Any thoughts?

I've thought of giving GnuMail another try. Last time I looked it was prety immature. Does it have good GPG integration?

As to your spam problem, you should go with SpamBayes. It's truly astounding. I get 40+ spams a day, and one MIGHT get classified as "unsure" in a day, but never as ham (and ham is never misrepresented as unsure or spam).
