I did a forum search but was surprised to see nothing about the new memoir by Steve Jobs first love. I'm thoroughly enjoying it so far (about half way through). What happened to you guys? Back in the early 2000s, this forum was my total Steve Jobs outlet! I wouldn't recommend this book however, to any but the most die hard students of Steve Jobs Studies... or those very interested in the hippy movement - since it's an interesting narrative from that perspective as well. It's written in a very authentic hippy voice - I don't know the 70s well, but I feel transported back into them as I read.
I feel like for the first time (and I've read almost every worthwhile Steve Jobs book there is - including off beat tangentially related ones like From Pepsi to Apple (Sculley), My 500 Days at Apple (Amelio), and A Regular Guy (Simpson), a novel based on a figure like Steve by his biological half-sister) I've gotten to know a little bit of the pre-Apple Steve.
